Do you have hand drawn art or a large collection of clip art you want to use with your Silhouette Cameo cutting machine?

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  •   things to consider when creating hand drawn art for use with the cutting machine
  •   what to look for in clip art
  •   tips for getting a successful trace
  • fix any not so successful traces

Lesson 2

Hi, I'm Angie Knowles, the left brain artist

Educator & Textile Artist

Learning new things is who I am; it is what I do.  Sharing that knowledge as an educator and mixed media textile artist is also who I am and what I do.   My art is an physical manifestation of my learning and sharing.

Embracing and understanding the tech is another part of who I am.  Breaking down the process of designing and using my cutting has enabled me to use the cutting machine to make silk screens, stencils, stamps and to cut fusible applique for my art quilts.

When I first got my machine, it sat in the box for a very long time before I got up enough courage to use it.  Even then, it wasn't a successful or pleasant experience.  But with time and patience I preserved and overcame the frustration and overwhelm.

And I can help you do the same.

Here’s what people are saying about the course

An encouraging teacher

Whether this is your first project or you just need someone to hold your hand while you work through the process, Angie is there for you.
She was so calm, very encouraging, and doesn't allow me to feel overwhelmed.
Treat yourself to Angie's gentle teaching!

Angie's expert instruction

Angie provided a good basic understanding of how to use the Inkscape drawing program. She covered basic drawing tools concepts clearly, and patiently answered any questions her students had. I am looking forward to continuing this journey of becoming proficient at cutting my own designs with Angie’s expert instruction.
